Ah yes, I tend to agree although they are possibly overtaken on a trip of this nature by SLEEP :smt015 :smt015 :smt015

Cycling was my natural first plan ( well actually Motorcycling was but there's just no way I could afford it :smt009 ) but it has the effect of isolating you from other travellers. Walking allows access to more remote areas and tends to throw up more meeting-people opportunities. Especially when you are on your own. It is also easier to just jump on a bus/train or stick your thumb out if necessary.

If I am fortunate enough to get 2 months off then I think walking is the ideal pace but it is now looking less likely that I can get the time :smt013
