What is all this cobblers that people keep going on about colours?
I am quite happy with blue ta very much. For one thing it means I don't have to buy new leathers and I think it may also have pivotal to my better half deciding that she liked the look of the bike, thus allowing me to buy it.
Besides, everyone knows that blue bikes go faster anyway

eh?
Forgive me for sounding stupid here but surely clear headlights are the most effective.
Or am I missing something?

all this stuff about colour is important - and is a recurring theme on this forum about which colour is the fastest
now, we have conclusivly proved that the early black ones are the fastest, the rest of you lot are just arguing about second place
the only thing we all do agree on is that yellow ones are.... well, words fail me
welcome btw - enjoy the falco :)

Yep, fair comment about the yellow.
But how can you ignore the evidence...
Stefan Everts (10 times MX World Champ for the uneducated) - Yamaha, oh that would be a blue bike then
Valentino Rossi 2004 and 2005 - Galouses Yamaha ( blue again)
And who can forget the Rothmans Honda NSR's of old (still in my opinion by far the best paintscheme ever)

nope - was black originally, then at the speed it did the heat changed the paint - i think you will find that red is often used as an undercoat....
... or to obliterate the nasy rust bronze colour of course

Isn't it just black by default cos it's made from carbon fibre?
If they'd given it a few coats of nice shiney blue paint it would managed at least another 30mph
