Back! :smt003
A couple of pics for you ALIUK, (and anyone else who is interested)...
Image
And;
Image
I didnt have quite enough alloy sheet left to make it a one piece, upside down 'T'. :smt009
Will have to get to Ruffuth Park Autojumble in the near future fer more.
Basically, this is how I'll do it once I get more alloy and it will be far more tidy...
Image
It'll do fer now though. :smt002
The bracket that attaches to the bike needs to be LESS than 90' so the numberplate is angled more upwards, (and not just vertical!). Its also mounted underneath the bike bracket so as to be more hidden.
Oh, and the tank 'spots' are to cover the rivet heads and stop em rubbing on the back of the numberplate.
Feel free to use or modify the design, though it does, (when eventually done properly!), do the job its sposed to.

Looks good, from what I can see you've got one of those small letterbox style plates(?)

awesome, I see some fettling getting done tomorrow

Only adaptation I may make is some lugs added that are sort of bungie clip size :)

edit, actually, I think that i can see a way of adding the stock indicators to that set up as well - will post if i fettle tomorrow, and will try to take photos and measurements etc

I have a bog-standard plate Gio; Had too many Plod giving me grief on my ol zx7r when I cut the plate down a tad, (ignored the Scorpion end can mind)! :smt013
@ALIUK; Yeah, with a bit of extra alloy at either end of the plate mount, (the top of the upsidedown 'T'), and then bend them towards the front of the bike you could fit stalked indys. Obviously not an issue with the indys I have though... :smt002

What a shame.

Pics of the back of the bike with plate would be good (erase the lettering tho)

OK - have removed old back end, and have acquired a nice sheet of aluminium - so will get round to making a template - downside - my next day off is wednesday, so will try to do it all then

Nice job Falcomunky - was thinking of doing a tail tidy - your solution seems to be relatively simple, effective & looks good.
:smt023

Do you have a plan for the reflector come MOT time?

Yep and thanks.

The plate needs to be made smaller tho, it spoils the rear end that size :smt003
