Having binned more than 1 I find they stand up well to an unscheduled dismount ... better than the rider at any rate
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Well, mine is in the process of being saved! Mine is a 2001 and had only done 13k miles when I bought her last month. Had been sorn in 2012-2014 I think. List of things that need doing:
Leaky clutch slave cylinder - replaced with an Oberon
Clutch pushrod seal - replaced
Clutch Pushrod - replaced
Front and rear brakes spongy - fluid replaced by shop (heaps better now!)
Tail tidy - new one fitted
Rear indicator - intermittent - connectors replaced by shop
Coolant sight level tube - replaced
Oil pressure sensor - bought but not yet replaced
Rear suspenstion shock - on the case!
Front & Rear tyres losing 1psi per day - on the case!
Oil & filters replacement - soon!
Future jobs:
Wheels need powder coating as one is blue the other blue and polished. I actually prefer the polished look but have been told it will be expensive to get the blue paint off and hard to maintain / clean.
Oz or Marchesini wheels when I save up enough!!
Front forks I want to either anodise and service or replace with marzocchi gold forks.
Coolant hoses and as many rusty bolts as possible all replaced for peace of mind!
