I agree with that Gio, it would seem not every road user was blessed with common sense

Like I said, it's all about hazard perception and acting on your assessment.
You can't expect to ride a motorcycle on the roads of today with no riding plan.
We all use our own interpretation of a riding plan even if you don't know your doing it.

I agree the HID lights are good, but anything that will make the cager take a second glance ie:
Coloured film on the headlight
LED angel eyes to create a triangle of light etc etc

The film is just a thin film to apply to the headlight to change the colour, just makes you different to all the other traffic.
The triangle of light is your standard headlight accompanied by 2 small led,s to create a "Y" or "V" apparently this configuration is noticeable considerably sooner than a single standard headlight.

Ok, this is making sense now. Do you know if any particular colour film works best ? Sorry to rack your brains on this one

Van at fault. From the video, there didn't appear to be any hesitation from the van driver before he turned. The rider was coming out from a shaded location with the sun in the van drivers face. If the van driver had taken a little more time to look, he would've spotted the biker. I do not believe the rider was going any quicker than what the road conditions would more than allow for, although his road position wasn't where I'd place myself.

All irrelevant now since he's scarpered. Meh.

Who suggested the pub? :smt006
