Well, just found an online source for tyres which, even with fitting charges, beats the hell out of most stockists. Anyone used this bunch?

Think I'm gonna try the Metzeler Roadtec 01s and see how they go

Yes, I've used them in the past. They do what they say on the tin...

I think they're actually based in Germany, but may be wrong. Everything I've had off them (car and bike) has been fine and as advertised.

Unlike Flatlander, I do both corners and roundabouts

And the AA flatbed trucks now come with good tyres

Ok, that's a pair of Bridgestone T30 EVOs on the way! Waiting for a call from the garage to see if they arrive in time for fitting today or if I have to wait all the way until tomorrow
