Big box already getting a workout :) Managed to jam my lunch, handbag (of course), trainers, towel and gym kit in! :smt003

Just in case anyone else has the luck to get one of these, there doesn't seem to be any difference in handling at high(ish) speed, even loaded up.

Oh, last two fill-ups, 138 and 141 miles with 13.8 and 14.1 litres. Although this is mostly motorways and fast back roads, it also includes filtering round the M25 for 5 junctions on both trips!

I am sooooo glad I came back to a Falco :smt007

They can be a tad light on the front at times though. :smt002

Only if I put the stabilisers back on ;)

Starting a new job tomorrow and it's a 150 round trip every day so luggage space required! Could probably do with a mid-flight/trip refuelling vehicle too...
y

I'd use a tank bag.... You have the tank cover and it is a much better solution if you are doing more than popping down the shops.

I did a 160 mile commute for over a year ... You should just about able to do the on a daily tank full but will need to brim it and could do without the "parachute" hanging off the back.

Nice looking bike BTW.

That's the one, Dave! Didn't leave it on when I sold the blue Falco, as it was too good to give away.

And on the subject of fuel consumption, I found mine actually improved after fitting the Gabro chip. In France last year I was getting around 130-140 miles between fill-ups before the fuel light came on. A mate on an RSV was looking for fuel stops after 100 miles from full.

What chip and mods do you have to the motor Graham?

Hahahaha reminds me of our trip to Le Mans in 2005. Via Boulogne on the way back. 3 hours 20 mins only had to fill my BB once, its 250 miles so about 200 miles on a tank.

This was on the blue Falco, which was standard apart from the Gabro chip and a pair of Fuel cans. Chip was optimised for that setup. And we weren't exactly hanging about, either...

The red Falco has got a Forza chip, unbalanced headers, Akrapovic cans and one of Griff's (lack of) airbox mods. Goes really well, but haven't had chance to measure fuel consumption yet.

Pick showing use of tank and small "airo-dynamic" tail bag, ideal for high speed commuting. Also my hand guards and Amber the dog...

Quite fancy those handguards for tomorrow. Gonna be a bit chilly...
