,thanks all for the replies, the valve adaptors will live under the seat, I will buy another tyre inflator and not lend it out so it can't come back fucked.

Hi all,

I carry a 100mm 90 degree tyre extender under my seat. Have heard some angled valves can twist under inertia and work loose a smidge, which could slightly deflate said tyre...
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Be aware that many tyre fitters are not aware of the difference in apertures - iirc most Japanese bike wheels - and therefore valves - are slightly smaller than the stock brembo / oz apertures

About 1mm smaller - so get the right size!


Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I got my 90 degree valves thrown in a set of tyres ago. The fitter owned an RSV but managed to fit the right size despite obviously being an headbanging oik. They look like little gold dalek heads.

I've found a few on 'that popular (?) internet auction site' diameters varying from 5.6 mm to 7 fish, the only 8.3 ones look a bit gash.
