Looks a well sorted bike with some tasteful mods.
Somebody will end up with a lovely bike.

Tolerance will be our undoing.

Wally wrote:Yes, some good routes.
During the summer I quite often go from Ingleton, Kendal, Levens, Newby Bridge, Hawkshead, Ambleside and stop for some tea at Grasmere, then back thru Bowness and over the tops back to Kendal and Home.
Been doing that route on a 1980 XS1100 Yam but it will be a bit different on the Falco this year whilst I give the XS a rest.
Went on the Falco last Saturday, bloody thing keeps wanting to show 3 digits on the speedo for some reason

I'll have to calm it down somehow.

I think you and Zoidberg ought to organise a rideoout in your neck of the woods in what we laughingly term as summer...

If anyone knows anyone that is interested in buying a falco getbin touch.
I'm not going to advertise her but if I get an interest and enough cash I could part ways with her....

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure I should be advertising the Falco for?
It'll be going up for sale.

Do you want an 'ideal world' or real world ballpark figure ?
Ideally yours should fetch £2k plus cos its worth it but I've seen similar go for. £1.3k, lesser blessed ones fetch more ( on ebay,so this is no reflection on common sense or true worth)
If you can hang on till the spring I'm sure you will get a better price.
The falc appeals to only a select few so it may take a while to find a buyer with the ultimate in bike taste

Real world I'd put it up for 2300 maybe with bits or less and sell fancy bits separately

if you were to return to standard you would get 1200 to 1400 with special bits getting another 600 or so imho
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If you do split the special bits I maybe interested in the shock (ohlins?) and steering damper.

Its not an ohlins, its an RSV shock and linkages...
I do have a spare steering damper in the drawer somewhere from an RSV.... I'll look for it.

Just a reminder I also offered up some willingness to pick over the carcass ;)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I have a red steering damper here
It has the bracket and Mount to the frame just not the Allen bolt to the fork.
What's it worth?
