In 'case' its of use - my factory panniers had a problem locking on to one of the frames so I bought these bad boys to make sure nothing came adrift:

Really, very good and surprised how strong and versatile they are.

Just to reassure Shetland woody - that was a throw away comment....
Iirc, Martin polls website has the Mille workshop manual for that shock - and that details how to adjust it etc

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I'll get some pics of it all fitted once back.
Yes they clear the exhaust by about 30mm, because the panniers locating holes are not equal the panniers sit parallel with the cans although the plate doesn't, heat transfer has not been a problem, so far 900 miles in and boxes are fine although the carbon cans don't get that hot, even when your nipping on ..cough cough

Your welcome, yea that's the e22's, quality seems good, don't think you can go wrong with givi :) absolutely chucked it down on the way home, everything was bone dry inside. I quite like the way they release, you half turn the key to "r" and push the lock down and they pop off without hassle. Volume ways there fine for keeping spare clothes, waterproofs and a few basics but there quite slim. I far prefer hard panniers to my throw overs which I don't like siting against the paint. And I can never get them to sit right. I suppose if you imagine what you could fit into a plastic wash basin, that's about what you'd get into the e22's plus perhaps a small bit extra.
The rack I made out of a rack for an XJR 1300 basically turned upside down and the lower bracket modified and I welded a saddle bracket up above that bolts through the grab rail.
