If his insurance co passed a doc to you which shows something different from what he's now saying, he doesn't have a leg to stand on!

Unfortunately I have to pay the higher premium anyway, until this is sorted it is deemed as my fault and I have to pay the extra.

I had the same for the 3 years it took to settle my claim when I was knocked off.
I was told I would be able to get the difference in premium back if it was eventually settled in my favour.
It was settled in my favour and the most important thing, my NCD was restored in full.

However, I never saw the return of the extra premiums that were unfairly added. Maybe I could have fought harder than I did for them but I was so ground-down with the whole thing (and it wouldn't have been easy to determine how much I'd overpaid) that I only tried a little to recover this.

I made sure I got a letter from my insurance company stating the difference, and also stating that it would be refunded once settled in my favour
