Got back at about 20:30, freezing cold and soaking wet! The Falco rolled over 17,000 miles somewhere on the M40.

That was a good day out, about a 330 mile round trip, got to meet some more of the wierdos that get on here (DRider and Aladinsane), saw someone else from the Fazer forum, had a go on the dyno machine (107 bhp, 68 ft/lb) and accidentally bought some Beowulf radiator guards AND some CRG black shorty levers.

Debz recorded the dyno run, so hopefully if we can get the computer to talk to the phone, I can post the vid up on here. The tester had to pause half way through to put his earplugs in :smt020 5bhp less than the TL1000 that followed me, but a fair bit louder :smt003 Apparently I'm runnig quite lean at higher revs, so there's a tad more power to be eeked out of the bird yet.

Yep - was a good day. Nice to meet you and Debz - if only briefly - and also Aladinsane and friends - who I hooked up with to look around the various activities and stands. Inevitably we spent some time comparing bikes (although he did make me prommise not to tell you how he sorted out getting his exhaust back together .... so I'll leave it a while before spilling the beans)
We can vouch for 3 Falcos lapping Donnington at the same time ... in a crowd of thousands of bikes (KillSpills laps). The feeling of crawling down Craner at 40-50 then braking for the traffic jam at the Old Hairpin (similar story at the esses) was quite something.

Piece of piss Donnington (at the speeds we were going at any rate).

Didn't take many pics today - but here's what I got:

Bikes assembling for the KillSpills lap of the Donnington circuit:

More bikes assembling for the KillSpills lap (my son Joe stood to the rear of my Falco):

Yet more bikes assembling for the KillSpills lap:

More bikes. If you imagine half the picture again on the left and right, that's about how many people turned up to go onto the circuit. Don't know if we got into the Record book yet, I'll try and find out. I'd guess about half a mile of bikes five abreast on the circuit in all.

was a good day

I will write something up myself about the killspills run - when i am able

will also write a review of the falco, for the main forums, as i think this week end has really put it through its paces

in short:

774 miles in 3 days, in both bright sunshine and absolutly awful weather, both solo and two up

... hell of a bike :)
