I have no internet at present - anyone who wants to contact me, PM Mart and he'll give you my moby no!

Back online but getting concerned about whether there will be more than one or two - I'm supposed to go over to the pub to talk to them about where we're going to camp etc.

To be honest it seems like wasting money to pay out for camping when if there's only a couple of tents they could go in my back garden!

I only booked up Saturday dinnertime as I wasn't sure what I was doing work wise. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers, last year me, Mart and Pikey had a rally on our own. It was great 'til Kurt started on the cider.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Right. As there will only be a few of us, I'm not sure it's worth bringing a barbecue - I've only got a charcoal one anyway. But breakfast in the pub is - I think - rather expensive at £7.95, so I'll bring a couple of gas stoves and frying pans, if anyone else has small stoves then maybe it would be an idea to bring them.

The pub food is also a bit pricy but campers get a 15% discount so that should make it ok.

I'll bring some basic supplies, tea coffee milk etc, there's a supermarket not too far away so we can decide what else we need and I'll take trike or car (whichever makes it to the site) and do some shopping Friday evening.

Not planning a huge rideout but I thought I'd look at a 'Dorset Doddle' to take in a few of the sights - Poole Quay, Corfe Castle, Wareham Quay, Swanage railway maybe. We can decide at the time whether we want to do that or just laze around!

Dorset Doddle if we feel like it - in two parts cos Google maps didn't want to go across the Ferry!

Map 1 - Pub to Ferry via Wareham Quay, Corfe Castle, Swanage seafront.

Map 2 - Haven side of Ferry to Pub, via Poole Harbour, Poole Quay and back to the pub via a famous avenue of beech trees that were planted in in 1835.

Only a couple of hours in total, longer if punctuated with stops for coffee, beer, steam trains, ice cream, fish and chips...........

Last reminder for anyone who thinks they may want to pop in - PM tonight for my moby number if you haven't already got it, or take a chance on us being out and about! (not that likely in this heat but still.......)

Not many photos, it was really too hot to bother with the camera! We did go out and have a look at Poole Harbour and eat ice cream, and of course the obligatory JD was raised!

Phots, such as they are, are here....
