Wow. That's a bargain and a half!! If that fits the yellow-spring shock, I might just have to grab one.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

It's probably going to be a couple of weeks minimum before I get the adjuster in my hands. When it does, the first thing I'll do will be to check whether it fits or not. But if it fits the Blue spring Sachs (which is the shock it's made for) then it will also fit the yellow spring sachs - both shocks have the same body size and thread pitch.

The only difference between the shock bodies is that the yellow spring Sachs has a collar at the top of the body (where the compression adjuster is mounted) whereas the blue spring sachs has nothing. The thread just stops. What this means is that the hydraulic adjuster will only screw so far up the yellow spring body before it's forced to stop by the collar.

What it also means is that the spring will need mounting by means of a spring compressor rather than by adjustment of the castellated rings. This probably means you'll have to take the whole shooting match to a suspension guy who has a shock spring compressor to get it fitted. Not really a major problem.

For the listed price, it's hard to see how you can lose.

Thanks for the details. There is a suspension guru about a 5 minute drive from work, so getting it fitted should not be a problem.

The only downside is that AF1 want at least US$40 to ship anything to Oz. Which makes the purchase a bit daft, unless I can find other goodies to make it worth my while.
