Yes you just use the leg - you unscrew it from the bracket that attaches to the frame of the donor bike and screw the leg to the bracket that the Falco has already.
Simples.

Dont know what fits but do know a 750 K5 stand is like a chopstick with a pea on the end :smt009
Given the fun Im having not finding a secondhand Blade stand, the price of a new Blade stand leg only, Im thinking the Team Blinkster method is the way to go.
The US stand on Eblag... mm. My max bid was £55.99 did not meet reserve, a lot for a s/h stand.

Again I heartily recommend the Blinkster special. At the risk of opening up a whole new area what about getting your hands on a cameltoe? If nothing else might ride you over
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

No you can't

Unless i am misuderstanding you!!!!!!

The adapter changers the angle. If you put the adapter on without extending the original crap stand then the bike leans over too far. So you have to extend the stand to compensate.

Also If you do not use the adapter and just shorten the crap stand the bike will lean over but the footprint is still the same (draw an imaginary tri-angle with the contact points of the two tyres and the stand on the floor). This will increase the risk of the bike falling over the stand or falling left (with the stand down.

Another note on perkys stand. After a few years of use the adapter will bend causing the bike to lean over further....I know trust me, It was not made of good material.

paddy i made flatlanders stand to suit his bike, ie kept taking the stand on and off trying to find a happy medium.
You need to make the stand not only fit so the angle is right when the stand is down but it needs to be right when the stand is up.
I did not use a perkys special on flatlanders bike.
It was not until we went out on the bikes that we campared the stand off flatlanders bike to mine (mine is a bobseywoo stand)
Apart from mine having 16mm solid bar and flatlanders 20.. the stand was identical in every way, up and down.

Are the perky adaptors available ? Be good to look at one and make a better copy. Was thinking of using Falco stand top lug ( the bit wot meets the stop bracket ),drilling out a spigot then turning a bit of bar to fit into said spigot, mig the fcuk out of it and beat the bastard into a stand like shape

Dunno - not seen one for ages. Think they fell from popularity when people realised they didn't really do the job and there were other stands out there that did it very well.

aprilia bracket, hayabusa leg, couple of washer & 2 blogs of weld.

Hayabusa leg is about 2" longer than standard at 11", you can either drill out the bracket hole to accept the hayabusa bolt, or use the prilia bolt with a bush, plenty of busa stands on fleabay from around £15

Makes the footprint of the bike much wider.

Think the one I had was from a '99, but as far as visual inspection goes of the pictures on eBay, they all look the same, although obviously this would need to be verified.
Don't think it would work out much cheaper than other versions, although I got mine for 8 quid, just there seems to be more of them available.
