:) bring on the pies!

So I'll remove the airkit, chip and scotoiler tonight... I'll post some sad pics if damage later,

havent done the bike yet, but am i correct in thinking the fpro chip has a daughterboard attached? I'm assuming this has to come off before I put the stock eprom back?

also, would installing the original eprom cause any issues with the bike starting? i'm assuming when the fp chip was installed the co pots etc were tweaked...

thanks in advance peeps

Never actually seen an FP chip but I think you are right that it comes with a daughter board. If you do find one, the chip and daughter board need to be removed together (it's there to sort out the different pin assignment of the different chip).
Standard one just pops in to the socket that the daughter board plugged in to.

No idea what will have been done to your trim pots - presumably tweaked to hit the right CO values for whatever chip you were running (assuming it was done properly)
Ken's Site suggests that for the FP chip, the trim pots need tweaking: http://home.comcast.net/~sl_mille/eprom.html#fuelscript

I expect the standard chip will run OK but maybe not optimally.

Info for installing a chip is also on Ken's Site: http://home.comcast.net/~sl_mille/dyno-install.html

Don't be too quick to take a write off on the bike, I've got a few spare body parts (for the bike not you) and if I can strike a deal with a local auctioneer, there may be a damaged repairable heading my way soon too.

cheers guys... thankfully no body parts needed

i'd much prefer the bike not to be written off, although repairing her if i buy it via salvage might be good fun!

bad luck on the "off", hope all pans out well and at least scars are cool once the pain is gone. Just goes to prove that shitty roads are internationally universal!

Insurance assessor and valuation guy here, both 99% sure it'll be written off. Its being taken to the local motorcycle shop for a repair bill though so we'll see :smt012

I've managed to remove my chip, renegade air box, charging cables, ventura racks (weren't damaged - yey) and if I get chance swap the current replaced sidestand switch cable with the defective one :smt077

I'm getting more aches and pains, arm is huge with swelling and it'll take a while to heal. On loads of meds, 6 different ones at last count, sure they're helping but it still hurts.

Onwards and upwards!

Is that the best you could do?

I've got a red nosecone, but it's got worse damage than that on it.

I do have a couple of side panels that are less scratched than those, but not in that colour. Do you know if the fairing stay is bent?

Is the rear subframe bent? not that I've got one. If the rivnuts are FUBAR you could just use bolts through the holes.

Can't help with the oil cooler either, but plenty have gone the RSV route to get a single exhaust, so should be a few spares laying about.

Lot's of folks have put belly pans on so the chin fairing should be easy to come by.

Probably right about the writeoff new plastics are rare and therefore expensive, but I'd be buying it back and fixing/street fightering it.

Failing that Ex from AF1 will have it off you pronto I'm sure
