Nice one. Was thinking about changing the clutch fluid as it's a little on the black side. May as well while i've got all the covers off eh! :smt002

Definitely! Might as well start 2011 with some nice shiney clutch fluid... depending how much you ride the Falco and whether you like to do clutchless shifting it may stay clear for a relatively long time :smt003

Clean clutch fluid in a Falco ...... some things are never meant to be :smt009

:smt003 :smt003

Well the bike is being put back together now :smt004

Well... just the front... I still need to replace the rear braided hose and chain/sprockets... my aim is to replace the brake line next week (plus my new stand from Will) and the chain/sprockets some time in February.

The beast is starting to look a bit meaner again :)

Very interesting Rick, all that stuff is way out of my league!! Look forward to seeing it sometime...think you need a better camera when the jobs done, better pics will do it justice :smt001

...got my Millie swing/shock, levers, scotoiler, headlight mod, hangers, HID, fork/brake service to do in next few weeks...whilst i'm spending money what 's the advantage of the 'braided' hoses over the stock ones??

not much BUT

the original hoses were better quality than most bikes had - but, remember that our bikes are at least 5 years old...

also, some of us who have changed to braided hoses have also changed to two full length lines, not one that splits

worth doing - well, if you want too i guess - i do not regret doing it

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

(10 years old... :smt012 mmm)...good point Pete, worth doing then as the brakes are going to be serviced! So what do i need and where from, how many do i need or do they come as a set?...will the 'Millie' swingarm alter things? :smt017

I used HEL lines - from evil bay

BUT - if you are doing the mille swing arm conversion - get a rear line that is an inch or so longer.... the other will reach JUST

HEL do sell via ebay - and do have an excellent customer service team - so call and ask them....

and they don't seem to have any auctions atm - so http://helperformance.com/catalogue/brake-line-systems/

there are other manufacturers that others here have rated - so have a look around and see what other folk say

you need a 2f for the front brake if you are going to have the two lines down from the brake resevoir to each caliper

one will be longer than the other....

i got my clutch line from them as well as my rear brake line
