Out of the blue, I turned the key and the main 30a fuse blew. Then instantly blew the replacement.
Was running perfectly, the only possible clue was that the trickle charger was showing 'charging' despite having been on for ages.
Can't see that being a connection, correct battery is about 4 years old.....
So, anyone have ideas about the best place to start?
Needless to say, it was fully loaded ready for a trip to Greece, ended up having to take the varadero.... :(

Re: Main fuse blowing
So - any troubleshooting I always start with "what has changed". So what has changed? Obviously you've loaded the bike up for a trip - any chance you've damaged a cable while loading, caused a short?

Re: Main fuse blowing
For the main fuse to blow so quickly would indicate a fairly serious short to earth of a major cable or component. I'd start around the headstock area checking for frayed or worn insulation, then head backwards under the tank and seat.
Good luck!.
