Sort of - the summer's been very up-and-down, weather-wise. A stretch of cool days with a couple of hot ones (up to 35C) before cold and rain. Nothing like when i was growing up - back then it was stretches of 30C with some days of 40+. Now it's pretty random what you're going to get from one day to the next.
And to bring the topic back to bikes - when are you putting snow tyres on the Falco?

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Whereabouts in Oz are you? I've got friends living in Melbourne, Sydney and 'somewhere in QLD'...
These days I don't even drive the car in snow, let alone a bike. I can still remember how to drive in snow, but most road users are a nightmare in snowy conditions. They're either going way too fast or way to slow for the conditions.
