Well bugger me RS still lives

#1 Post by oma » Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:03 pm

I got an email with a weekly update on it.
I didn't know RS was a thing anymore but it's good to see you still here.

Welcome back! Yes, it's still going (almost all) of its heritage preserved. Are you still riding?

Hi Ben

I took a few years out as I became unmarried.
Work got in the way too but now I'm on a 765 RS

The site looks familiar. And it's great to know it's still going.

Ok. I've got it now.
Ben ex-Visordown, plus old RS. A good mix.

Yep, that's me. When I saw OMA I thought of a username OnMyArse - not you is it?

I've not ridden a 765RS but by all accounts it's a great choice. Enjoying it?

I'm the very same.
Last time I saw you was at Heds shop in Woburn Sands.
Fuck, that was a long time ago.

The RS is a blast. I'd not ridden for 8 years and was going to get an MT10. I took the RS out and couldn't stop grinning.

Its easy to ride and must be the best bargain since the SV650.

It's no slouch either and works so well on track day.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a RS 765?
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

I've no idea what you mean about the rear brake but hello Gio, how are you doing?

The rear brake doesn't work imo, its ok when stationery, but try using it on steep hills etc when moving.Don't get me wrong on the bike I liked the one, I was loaned, it was just the back brake.
I'm not it the best of health, got a blood cancer that transformed last May, so been in and out of hospital.

I'm sorry to hear that Gio. All the very best and GWS.

And the rear brake is fine. 😁
