Best value bike for £3,000 challenge

#1 Post by Ben » Wed Jan 15, 2020 9:29 am

Here's a bit of a challenge for a wet Wednesday.

Head to eBay (or BikeTrader or whoever) and find the best bike you can for under £3,000. Not a penny more please.

Post it here with a one-liner on why you think it's a bargain. You can shoot down anyone's suggestion but you have to provide your own bike too.

Them's the rules.

My shout: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163881913908

Ducati ST4S, servicing up to date, 25,000 miles. A do everything bike with heaps of character. And it's in a great colour :smt071

Mine did 110,000 miles or more and I sold it to a school.
It's the best all rounder i ever owned and this one only has 34k on it.
Barely run in
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy.

Great motor on those. I had one for a weekend, it was superb. Good shout.

Short wheelbase, (old and hard looking) tiny tyres, non standard engine with a 172cc kit when it should be 50cc, questionable build and construction all equals a recipe for fun and disaster in equal measure!

As it says - LOT of bike for the money. Easy to pick up a K12 of any variant for around 3K.

Nice bike RB - that is a bit of a weapon for £3k.
