Yeah the concept of a multi-piece tank pad is a bit of a head scratcher - or would be without the instructions.
Making sure you align it well is something worth taking your time over before committing adhesive areas to the tank.

Got mine t'other day: Very happy with it mate!
Not sure when I'll get it stuck on tho: My tank is scratched to hell (taped an A4 sheet onto it a year or two ago and the bloody glue on the sellotape melted the laqeur!)

will the laquer not cut back with G3? never heard of selotape adhesive melting laquer before?
