I emailed MPL and asked for them if they would supply me with a new seal ,and was told to send it back as was not something i could do for myself,( i wondered why )
so i get myself one of these (watch back remover tool )

this fitted nice and unscrewed the back

i cleaned the inside and checked the seal which looked ok , there were black marks where the fluid was passing through the seal which i cleaned and now the inside is smooth the black marks you see here is where the seal is seated and is smooth to the touch

there is a black plastic guide in front of the seal with a notch to let leaking fluid out

this is probably why you cant do it your self as you cant get it back in so i came up with this idea, using a whole cutting saw blade cover the guide seal half way

keep the compression in it and place in the housing and push in with your thumb or any other free finger

job done , but how did the crap get in there in the first place to break the seal , here's what i think as you can see there is another seal which has worn where the clutch rod passes through not giving a good dust seal , i coated this with grease to prevent this

the MPL has now been on the bike for about 2000 miles and sitting rock solid but now I'm looking for the seal code in-case it need replaced .
so you can do it your self , and after all that new clean break fluid i put in it sill turned black but I'm looking into that , I'm sending my old black fluid and an old seal to the break fluid manufacturers to see what the can come up with
hope this helps
