Before I start on the long and winding road of sorting out of my yet-to-be-fitted mille arm I thought I'd see if anyone out there had one in decent nick hanging around their garage? Mine is a bit goosed and needs complete new set of bearings and a fair bit of sanding/filling/painting so I'm looking for the lazy option.....more than happy to pay good money for one?

You missed one in Oz advertised on the AF1 site the other day, in perfect nick with all bearings etc for $Aust400. Pays to go to other forums sometimes me thinks!

The seller has a couple of 04 swingers as well which will fit the Falco with appropriate linkages sjhock and mod to battery cage, avail as well. All in good nick.

At $Aust400 that sounds like your paying too much over there, that's £162 sterling + the shipping costs from Oz would have make it totally uneconomic to buy it/ship it. If that's what they go for over that's crazy money, you can get 'em here for between £50 - £100, which equates to about $Aust150, much more reasonable. As I've said I've got one here that needs some work plus a whole new set of bearings, seals etc....it's finding the time to refurb it, fit the gubbins back into the arm then fit the whole ensemble. If only there were 36 hrs the day it'd be done already.....all in all it looks like the only thing I missed out on by not monitoring AF1 items for sale was being robbed in broad daylight

Anyone know what weight of rider + gear the standard spring fitted to the Mille Sachs (with ride height adjustment) is aimed at? I had to get a stronger spring fitted the Ohlins fitted the bike so reckon I'll need to do the same for the Sachs.

Cheers Thumper but the first one is an '04, which I don't think looks right on the Falco, and other one is about £200 too expensive, check out the postage costs as well!! Must be an Ozzy........

Supply and demand my friend and these things weigh in at over 9 kilo, but I agree the O4 arms are not as desirable but then I bought a older RSV arm and couldn't bare to fit it to my falco preferring the standard one in the end but it did look nice on the workshop wall

TN, I know this has been discussed quite a bit over on AF1 (..... runs for cover .... ) ..... you can always pop over there and search in stealth - nobody need know.

As for the Mille swingers, I've also got one waiting for me to discover the 36hr day to refurbish it (and to lay my hands on a suitable bearing puller - anybody know of one for not much money?).
On the subject of the '04 onwards swingers, they will fit but are a more complicated conversion (but I expect you probably know that anyway).

Or could just be a greedy bastid who doesn't know how much they go for - his advert says Honda supplies so it's a possibility........I bought mine for £50 and needs a bit of work, as I said, it's just finding the time. Could well have been an extra cheap one and my local could might not have had a clue (which is a real possibility) but I'm sure there's been talk on here about them going for between £50 - £100.....I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first (or last) time.

I did as much and the best answer I found was from the one an only Thumper. So fella, if you'd be so kind, did you fit the Yellow Spring RSV Sachs to the Falco? and if so what spring did you end with? I'd be interested to know how much a new spring was and how much a rebuild of this shock was also? Question, questions........

Not sure where you get off in saying that this one is a ripoff? The swingarm was in perfect nick, near new with brand new bearings etc. You didn't have to waste time and extra money, on all the necessary bearings, seals, cost of getting someone to do the bearings etc, filling/sanding/polishing/painting the arm, which no doubt because of the usual obligatory crash dents 99% of the swingarms we end up with are, and has to be done! And 162 pounds is very cheap, for said quality of swingarm, which will be a straight bolt in. Nothing seems to please you there TwinNut, does it?????? Go figure......you just must be one of those people!!!

As to 04 swingarms on Falcos, they aren't my cup of tea either, but some people like them. Just giving a heads up for the record.

You just can't leave it alone there can you cobber? In my book it's expensive, I've seen them for a hell of a lot less than $400 + postage, so it was in fact, expensive so don't throw your toys out of the pram simply because someone doesn't agree with you and in answer to you question I 'get off' (whatever that means ) at the next stop because I've heard that's where they sell Mille swingers at very reasonable prices.

Like I said, there are some who think they're the all seeing eye. But be careful though, if you post anymore some on here might think that you're actually willing to make a considered and meaningful contribution and possibly on a none-sporadic basis as well. Hurry up already, yah Holden needs a polish.......

Again you've dragged a simple thing down to the gutter.

All I said is that for $400 for an almost new swinger with NEW bearings, NO scratches, AND A BOLT STRAIGHT IN TO THE BIKE, sure beats a Pounds 50-100, POS scratched & dented SWINGER, that still requires, new bearings and seals (in Oz thats $270), get someone to pop them and replace, lets say $Aust 70-100, then you have to fill it, sand it paint/powdercoat, it or polish it lets see another $aust300 in time and materials minimum.

Man YOU GOT SUCH A FUCKING GOOD DEAL, (NOT)! I'm glad you don't work for any company I know, as far as your costings go!!!! Oh, you may be a Public Servant, and we all know how well they account for stuff!!!
