What is the paint used on the cans and can I buy it. I know you can get heat resistant matt black but I think that stuff is shit (it usually peels).
I am looking for aprilia exhaust paint.

Reason.........

After working so hard not to mark the cans while cutting them up to get rid of the shite inside, the bloody welder ar work was not so kind to them when welding them up, scratches everywhere. Whilst I am grateful for the welding job I am pissed off that I now have some serious rubbing down to do. I was going to leave them as stainless but now I have to paint them as per the original cans (at least it will look standard).

So does anyone have a part number that I can use to order some paint or will I have to use 20 cans of VHT to get the effect I want.

Cheers guys

BTW they do sound nice and a dyno is on the cards shortly.

And before you ask, I have not took them out on the road yet as it is still pissing down here and its too bloody cold .

Can you not just get a cheapo polishing kit that fits in a drill? probably be just as cheap as the paint and will allow you to keep em how you originally intended?

Have a go at painting them with High coat exhaust paint or something similar I painted this system last year and it's stood the winter well, the mistake is to put to much paint on thin is better.

Problem on the falco is it will probably scratch due to boot scuffing, maybe better to take it to a specialist for powder coating, it's down to your budget in the end.
