I'm sure it must have been discussed before but can't seem to find it.
What are the best tyres for milage and/or grip for the Falco.
At present i've got BT020s on, and get 6000 from the rear and 8500 from the front.
The rear is getting ready, and with the blistering on the rear wheel, I may get the wheels blasted and coated then fit a new pair.
I'm also doing a track day at Donington later in the year.

Just had another pair of Pirelli Diablos fitted to mine, after a punctured rear on Tuesday, and rate them, dry & wet road riding, and trackday riding, never put a foot wrong.
Mileage? about 4000 to a rear, front was fine but I changed it anyway.

Tyres are the most personal of choices. I run Diablo's which do fine and seem to suit the falco very well (at least for my set up)
The mileage some people get from tyres amazes me, the only rear that even got close to 4,000 mile was a Avon ST46 (although it would have done it I'm sure) I get about 2,500 from a rear Diablo, about 4,000 from a front.
I wouldn't mind if I was a track god but I'm not, although I do ride reasonably hard and normally on fast "A" and twisty "B" roads I suppose at least I get to wear them out right across the tread.
I'm not complaining I don't mind and I'm used to it, I reckon it's price I pay for my fun and my style of riding (if that's what you could call it)
But 6,000 miles from a rear tyre of any make is remarkable

020s front n rear; Best wet-grip tyres Ive ever had the pleasure of using!
I havnt tried em in decent weather yet, but my 010s on my old zx6rB1 were awesome on a hot sticky day!
I'll be sticking, (groan), with Bridgestone methinks...

I'll second that. Excellent tyre, transformed the bike, but then I did have MEZ3's fitted before

keep going on about mitchelin pilot power 2ct's but i've done 4500 miles on them now and there still untouced i'll get 6000 out of the rear easy and more, the grip is excellent wet and dry.my mate as put them on his k6 he's a nutter and he loves them.but that said we all ride different and it's what your comfy with.

Pilot powers, just about to change them to the 2ct version got around 6500miles out of the rear, front is okay but always change as a pair so it will go too.

Changed my MEZ3s at 2700 miles (rear was shot - couldn't live with them any longer anyway).
Moved over to Diablo Stradas. Transformed the bike. These have now covered a further 3000 miles with minimal signs of wear .... they're going to go on for ever!
I was unsure whether to go for the regular Diablo or the Strada. Decided to try the Strada first (the mrs was complaining at me changing tyres so soon - so I wanted something to last a bit longer). I felt that if I went for the regular Diablo, I'd never try the Strada. However, if I chose the Strada, I'd get a good handle on its grip capabilities and could eventually "upgrade" to the regular Diablo if I wanted more grip at a later date.
The Stradas have never let me down - they are excellent - however I've no feel for how they compare to a regular Diablo - I'd really like to know the difference in durability and the difference in grip.
Cheers.

Had both Diablo and Strada on my 1200 Bandit.
Started with standard Diablos and rear lasted 3500 miles. Replaced rear only with Strada and it's still got plenty left at 4000m. Will probably last twice as long BUT is wearing in a strange way. There is a sort of lip forming halfway round the profile - presumably where the hard wearing middle section meets the grippier edges. Could be that I have to change it before the middle section gets worn ?

For the 020 fans, try some Mez6 boots next time you change, they're just as good in the shitty weather, but don't go off like the 020s when they start to wear down, they stay grippy even when worn right down to the next layer of rubber.

I have ridden on lots of different brands of tyres now and Bt 020 was the longest lasting, a good alrounder on the falco. I am currently running Diablo's better feel more ware.
I will probably go for Avons next time as a mate is an avon motorcycle tyre agent and I get a deal,

but I would like to try these at some time in the future
My falco came fitted with Michelin pilot's new but not my favourite and are expensive I'm told the new tyre are the Bees knees hopfully prices will come down a bit.

I've always found the tyre lasts longer if you're smoother with the bike
Now I don't know how heavy a Falco is, but a Blackbird with full tank and rider is about 330Kg (my weight that is). I had 2 sets of Diablos on it and I used to get 6k out the rear and 7.5k at the front and the bike did several trackdays as well.

I think the falco weighs around 240kg, trouble is I probably weigh almost half of that again
I am relatively smooth trouble is I can't control my right hand coming out of bends, best I manged on a rear BT020 was a little over 5k my worst was 1.8k on a set of sticky Dunlop 208's.
