Tonight I was going to fit the crash bungs that I got from Woodbutcher.
That was the plan until I couldn't work out how to get a spanner on the nylocks on the rear engine mount bolts.
Hopefully it will all become clear in the morning when I can actually see what I am doing ... but if anyone whose done this has any tips, it could save me a bit of faffing about.
Does the shock need dropping out of the way to get reasonable access?

Used an open ended spanner d-rider does take a bit of fidling, as long as you can keep the nut still and turn the bolt, found it a lot easier with the wheel out. If your struggling give me a bell and i will nip over and give you a hand

Cheers Bob - yeah was just having a quick go with a torch in one hand and the bike on the sidestand .... looks as though I need to get it up on a stand and remove a few bits first!

Amazing what a difference a bit of daylight makes.
Spanners in from above - under the tank - no need to remove anything.
Job done, crash bungs fitted ....
I usually like to try things out when I first fit them .... but might give that a miss this time .....

Aw, go on!
Seriously, I hope you never have need of them. Wish I'd had them last year - 30 mph off, made a right mess of the fairing, handlebar, clutch & gear levers, fork lower, & my knee.
Will you be fitting the bar-end & fork sliders as well? If I'd had the full set, I don't think the damage would have been anything like as write-off inducing.
Here are some pics & discussion following some real-life crash testing (Futuras, I'm afraid)
