Clutch Slave Seal

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Jun 29, 2009 1:26 pm

An alternative to Aprilia's (pricey) clutch slave seal has been sourced:
Chabby wrote:The seal number is SU 2820.5 4.2 – DE – EPDM – DK 105
I assume the numbers in bold are the outside diameter, inside diameter and depth respectively. EPDM is the material (necessary for clutch fluid).
The company which supplied them is Fluidpower at the address below.
P.S. The new seal has been fitted and works fine. It cost £2.10

Its possible to do a quick repair if anyone gets stuck for this part, my seal started leaking at 10k I stripped the cylinder cleaned out all the muck removed the seal carefully and applied a small amount of packing using plumbers tape in the grove..don't over do it.. :smt002 The result was very good and despite getting a new seal I never did fit it :smt009 sold the bike with over 35k ish millage never leaked again.
