This might seem a silly question, but I'm having trouble re-assembling the mirrors onto the top fairing.
There's a plastic base on the bottom of the mirror and I can't remember how this fitted. It has two holes through it that align with the holes in the fairing and the clock frame.
So initial logic hints that it fits between the fairing and the clock frame mounting points and the studs go through fairing/mirror mounting then screw into the clockfirm. Trouble is it seems to pull the fairing out of shape and the studs don't really seem long enough.
If fit under the clockframe, that does not seem to make sense either cos it's only held by the central fixing bolt and doesn't lie very well under the clockframe.
Sure it doesn't fit on top of fairing.
Feel stupid as nothing seems to fall into place.
Can anybody look at a bike for me and confirm?

Forget my last post!
It's just that this replacement fairing that I am fitting had been stored in a box for a while and squashed up it from the top, before I bought it!
Was new and otherwise in perfect nick, but only realised when it looked about 6" lower than standard, like a racing fairing!
Had to stretch over the clock frame to pull it back into shape. Left it for a week and it seemed to hold its proper shape OK. Until I tried to fit the mirrors and it seems the top side arms that mount the top of the fairing are out of shape as well. Have managed to bolt up the mirrors and this bit also seems to pull back into line OK, as the screen lines up pretty well. Think all the rest will pull back into shape when the screens bolted up.
Everything just looked way out to start with and and was worried about tightening it down and the whole thing cracking! Have enough with one damaged set of plastic already.

Many thanks, I'd been looking at that myself, but as it did not also show the clock frame itself, couldn't really tell and didn't really take note when I took them off.
But the real issue is this slightly out of shape top fairing.
See my previous post, just fitted one side and seems to have pulled things back into line OK.
Just about to go back and try to fit the other side.
Fingers crossed but think will be OK.

No Probs. Just to confirm, the spacer does go between the frame and the fairing.
