Oil Pipe...

Hi all,
I am about to fit the mille swingarm conversion and have noticed that the 1inch(25mm) pipe that feeds down and deposits oil onto the chain behind the front sprocket, seems to put some oil onto the shock
Seeing as a shiney new Hyperpro shock and suitably painted new spring might get covered in oil! My question is do we really need this pipe depositing oil onto the chain? I oil my chain on a regular basis as do most of us I think, would bunging it up cause a problem? Or would I need to fit a bleed valve or air valve on the damn thing
Wonder if anyone else has this problem or found a suitable remedy
Cheers,
Ur friendly lens guy.
