Had a mental few nights recently lashing the Falco back together in preparation for a demo ride against various anti-bike stuff the Victorian Government has up its sleeve.
Didn’t have the time to have a test run and a couple of niggles appeared on the ride. Your input would be gratefully received.
Found a little puddle of oil under the bike, but seems to be from the scottoiler rather than the front rocker, which was a bugger to reseat. Where am I likely to see any oil that might be leaking from the rocker covers, particularly the front (cam position wire isn’t the culprit).
New wavey discs with new pads are pulsing so bad that on the final roll up to a stop I’m using the rear (new wavey and pads too) to come to a halt. The front snatches to a stop. I cleaned the callipers and the pistons were moving smoothly. I cleaned the new disks before putting them on. I torqued down all the bolts in a nice crisscross pattern. A couple of the rotor buttons didn’t have full movement and I’ll look at these, any other ideas?
Lastly – I put my new super-dooper LED stop/tail/indicator boards into the rear lights, dashboard Dioide mod and an electronic flasher unit and all worked fine with std front indies. Put on some stick on strip LED indicators in place of the fronts and all worked nicely. But with the engine running the fronts only light up (and flicker) one or two of the LED’s instead of all 6 (rears are fine)? Can’t quite figure the reason as there must be plenty more volts and amps hurtling about with the engine running than on the battery?
