OK, spent a lot of last week doing a swinger and exhaust swap.
Still got a few bits to sort out .... like ....

Mounting of RHS pillion footrest
Proper pics and maybe a bit of a write-up when it's finished .... but to keep you going .....

Nope - swinger is 10mm longer (Sabestian measured his) ... but same sprockets and chain will leave actual wheelbase unchanged.

Very nice. This mod really cleans the bike up.
Have you got any pics from behind the bike? I would like to see how this mod slims the rear.

Nope - my arse looks just as big on it as it did before.
Yeah I've got a pic and it does make it hugely slimmer .... but you can wait 'till the tail tidy is done before I post one up

This was a "bling and sound" mod rather than a "performance and feel" thing .... and I've only commuted to work on it so far - so have yet to crack it open.
So far the things I've noticed:
- The pipe gets in the way of my right foot and pushes it further forward than I like. I'll see how it goes but when I bought the can I got them to throw in hi-level and standard link pipes .... so I do have an option if it annoys me too much.
The sound is .... louder. I'm running with the baffle in - we have a cemetery in Coventry and I don't want to spoil the slumbers of it's inhabitants by running with the open pipe.
It backfires when on a closed throttle and using engine braking through the gears. Maybe I've not got the exhaust joints quite right or maybe the fuelling's contributing (it had started doing it a little with the standard exhausts ... but they kept the effect pretty quiet).
Chucking it into a left-hander last night (in the dark) the rear slipped out a bit - think it was probably road-surface related but with mods in that area, confidence is being built up again this morning ....
I am hopeful that these mods will enable a significant "feeling" improvement. Now I've got my new can on, I can go and get the power commander set up properly and cure the rough running that's been there since the last service. Hopefully I'll get that done very soon.

My link pipe gets in the way as well, even though it's 'normal' level. I think it may be due to Buell footpeg but can't be sure. I need to figure out a way of fitting some sort of heat guard, like the one on standard Mille can.

Looks really good Andy. Time well spent (bet the wife doesn't agree, mine certainly doesn't).
RE the right foot problem - there might be a job for your local pipe bender here. Just from looking at the photo of the right side there may be a benefit in making the bottom bend in the link pipe a bit tighter. Would give a fraction more room with the added advantage of chnging the angle of the end can to be more parallel with the angle of the rear body.

IMO this wouldn't change the issue with the pipe/heel colliding. And there should be enough play in the joints to get the can parallel to the frame with the right hanger/can mounting point. If not, you could use another large diameter tight fitting pipe (2inch? to avoid making the link pipe oval) and bend the link pipe slightly. It worked beautifully in my case, you just need to be very careful and go really slow to out pressure on the pipes NOT the joints, otherwise they may not be tight anymore and blow.
