Would Futura clip-ons fit a Falco?

Am currently looking for new higher bars for my Falco... would the riser clip-ons from a Futura fit? Are the forks the same on both bikes?

Thanks!

Looks to me as if the Futura bars fit on top of the yoke whereas Falco bars fit below. I suppose you would have to try the Furura bars below ( and lose some of their extra height) or drop the yokes on the fork legs to allow fitment of the Futura bars above the yoke. But if you're prepared to drop the yoke then just try the Falco bars above the yoke as I believe some have already done. This would of course affect the feel / steering of the bike.

Are you considering this from a comfort point of view?

When I first got mine I was uncomfortable with the 'low' bar position but to tell the truth I hardly notice it now and have stopped looking for 'bar raisers'

Well my bike tipped off the side stand and bent the clip-on on the right hand side. I felt the bars were too low previously as I'm used to my Hornet, so would prefer a bit more height on them. As I need to get a new bar anyway, thought I may as well get some higher ones.

You're right they do look like they go on top of the yokes, they would probably be too high in that case I reckon. Cheers for the advice :smt001

I'd ask Befbever on the AF1 site, he's had all the Aprilia's and is a bit of a guru

Hey Hornet, did you solve the higher bars problem, if so, how?

Cheers

Yes mate, bit the bullet and bought some helibars new. Nearly bought the variobars that were on fleabay the other week but jibbed out.

Have to say that personally speaking its a huge improvement, all depends on what you're after really. Makes the bike perfect for me :smt001

Mmmm, comfy Falco!

Gilles Variobars over the top yoke, not a small job and a fair amount of fairing and screen had to be removed but it's extremely comfy, better than a vfr, and the steering is FRIGHTENINGLY quick now, especially with the OZ wheels! Might start looking for a damper, or might just live dangerously for a bit.

Wow - that's virtually a cruiser... do you have forward mounted footplate thingies as well ? :smt002

Seriously though, W T F is going on with your fluid reservoirs ?

Yeah, I need to look for some big chrome running boards on the Harley forums! :smt003

Reservoires are home made, I needed to do that so they'd clear the fairing and screen.
