am looking to the winter, and have a series of things that I am planning to do
one idea that comes to mind is to change the discs - mainly for looks, but also... well, you know :)
anybody who has done this, I would welcome your input
specifically - what will fit - ie, something off a donor vehicle
(I want to start my ebay trawling before the summer ends!)

PFM's they're the dogs B's IMO.
I had them on my Blackbird and even though they are ugly when its been left out in the wet (they go rusty) .
I once did a massive stoppie when some twat in his Jag wanted to turn right from the left hand lane of a roundabout, I must have got the rear wheel at least 5ft in the air and thought, this'll make a mess of his boot when it tips over. He was bloody lucky tho I missed him by about 2 inches

Why don't you try these
http://www.stealthproducts.co.uk
I have the wavey ones and they're quite good and look nice (when they're clean). Not too dear either.
I would love a set of Galpher ones tho but they're very expensive.

If you go for the Stealth discs, buy the discs and rotors complete.
I fitted just discs to existing rotors on a ZZR600 and the rattled like mad.
Seems the rivet buttons and springs aren't very strong.

Is the quest bling or better functionality?
Just found this on the internet ..... sounds like just the job to stop the buttons binding between the rotors and carriers and prevent disc warping:
EBC Square Drive Buttons
...... trouble is I had no plans to change my brakes ...... now I want some of these .................

Dont 748/916 discs fit?
edit: ah crap, they go for more than the same discs advertised for aprilias. £275 for 3discs and pads for stealth mentioned above is a good price tho

as soon as I can get the cash together I'm having some. Prolly about 20 years from now then. I'll be too old to ride by then, but I'm still gonna get them.

Good job you'll be to old
I was in 4th dimension in Shepperton last week, and a bloke with a GSXR thou had then fitted, looked quite nice, but he thought the braking ability was worse then OE
