I have the fuel pump out of the tank and neither putting 12v across it nor swearing at it will make it spin.
Is this a replacable or do I need a whole new pump assembly?
If it is replaceable does a replacement come with the tea bag filter as it appears to be attached with some sort of press stud that I'm not sure can be re-used?
Thank
A dead fuel pump

Re: A dead fuel pump
What bike is the fuel pump fitted to? If it's a Falco I'm not familiar with the 'tea bag' type filter. The one I've seen fitted to Falcos is an aluminium canister with a spigot at each end (and for which a Nissan Micra fuel filter is an exact replacement)...

Re: A dead fuel pump
under the fuel pump there is a tea bag type filter too, I've recently replaced mine, they're not too expensive.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:13 pmWhat bike is the fuel pump fitted to? The fuel pumps are available, but I've not had to replace it so don't know which one you need. IIRC the teabag filter I got came with a new washer to fit, use a small socket and tap it onto the post.

Yes the tea bag filter is in addition to the canister and is under the pump and you can't normally see it.
I'll get a new filter, just have to find out which pumps fit

I used Fuelperformance when I replaced the pump in my 1100GS a while back. Seems to be working just fine and was a direct fit. I think you probably get a new tea bag with this too.
