I think mines bent. Anyone know of a straight one going for a reasonable price ? I need to strip it to be sure but the double bubble definitely doesnt sit straight. Not been crashed, tracks true when riding and I can let the bars go with no problems. Is it made of cheese like the stand ?

Someone got one repaired recently and told all on here someplace. If I can find it I'll link it OR you could try a search

This may be what I was thinking of. More a cracked subframe than bent but still...

Did try a search, but didnt turn this up. Must be my wording. I need to strip it so will check first before I spend, but thanks for that anyway.

I thought mine was as well, but it isn't, it was the clocks and bubble that were.

It could be clocks or bubble. Had the screen a couple of months before I fitted it ,from Pyramid. I will be mighty fekked orf if that is twisted but it may be, because the standard one was OK. I am prepared to argue my case if I find that is the problem. Dunno how I will get on though.

I presume you haven't dropped the bike then. Cos if you have its the plastics that have forced everything out of kilter.

Pyramid? Ive heard of em being askew before. The one on the TT is, but only I notice. Didnt bother arguing. It only affects it at 145.

Kwackerz, heard pyramid being askew before ?! Gio, definitely not dropped. so I think it has to be the screen. Got to find the time to strip it yet but I bloody hope they will replace it if that is the problem !

Aye beckh. My Screen on the TT was, I only noticed it when i was cleaning it one day. Thought, Hmm. summat doesnt sit right. spent about 20 mins measuring it all, then decided to take it back off, took it off and yup. It's all askew.
One of those 'now you know it, you cant forget it' things.

OK,got it stripped. It is a bit more out of kilter than I can live with. The subframe is bent, one of the mirror supports is higher than the other BUT it looks as though it has always been that way. I have never dropped it, cant say if previous 2 owners have though. The plastics are all original and undamaged but the old standard screen was fractured around most of the mounting points. There is no evidence of damage on the frame, all welds are perfect. Anyway, gonna try and fix it with a rubber mallet first ! Only problem is shall I whack one side down or pull the other up
Off to find some photos now, see if I can get a clue.

Does anyone know if the clock mounting bracket on the RSV is the same as Falco (obviously something of the same vintage as my 2001) ? I wont be able to straighten mine without making it worse I think.

The rsv and falco top frames are not interchangable at all beckh .Had the same senario as yours, bike dropped by previous owner didnt really notice it at first when i bought it.Persivered and managed to straighten it,its just a question of pushing and pulling till it looks about right then offering the fairing up to it to make sure the holes still line up. I would say that the culprit would be the side that is higher as i think when its dropped its the mirror that hits the floor first which pushes on the mount, this is what i found to be the case on mine. Hope this helps goodluck
