Clutch drag after Barnett install

I have seen other posts in the past where people have experienced drag after installing a Barnett clutch and I have all the usual symptoms. I have bled the system thoroughly and I am positive that there isn't any air in there. How have others overcome this? Are there any common mistakes at install that would cause it? .....or does it resolve itself when the clutch wears a little?

Any advice or experiences appreciated. Cheers.

I had a very small amount of drag when i fitted mine, but wasnt too bad. Every time i parked it up though i put a bungie round the clutch lever to hold it to the bars and it became a habit. It doesnt drag now but i cant say if it was this or like you say - general wear and bedding in.

Not much help, sorry

I didn't thave this problem after my Barnett install, assuming you have put everything in the right order I would just ride it some miles it may just bed in. If it's still giving trouble check your clutch operating road is running free and correctly located, it helps to give this a good look over as any burs or nicks could effect it's action as would any similar problems in the clutch basket. Did you also remember to oil the plates before installing?
good luck with it.

Just to let you know the outcome - I have contacted Barnett and they sent me out a thinner steel plate next day. Will let you know if it solves the problem once fitted. Thanks for your help guys.
