Guys, check your nuts!

As you may know, I recently changed the shock and linkages.
Than, yesterday, I did a track evening.
And then today I took wheels off to change tyres and I accidentally saw that the nut of one of the linkage's screws was undone!
Unbelievable but I just put it onto the screw and tightened it with fingers and that's it.
Fckng scary :smt011 I'm glad I'm OK. Just check yours twice because I thought I was quite careful generally. :smt014

Glad you found it in time Sab.

.... same thing happened to me last autumn .... didn't find out 'till the suspension collapsed (and I'm certain I'd tightened it all up):

Don't tell me you replace nylocks every time you use them... OMG, I more hardcore than I thought! :smt005

Yeah, I know I should do it. Especially in the suspension area. But I just can't! :smt002

How about locktighting old ones? That should do it, shouldn't it? :smt017

How much have you spent on bling/performance ? .... and gonna skimp on safety? :smt002

I seem to recall loctite isn't recommended for nuts over a certain size. :smt017

It's more a case of not necessarily having a ready supply of brand new nylocks every time you happen to undo one.
Loctite is probably the best answer in such situations .... maybe as a temporary measure while making a mental note to get some replacement nylocks ..... which, of course, you never will .....

(* "you" = "I" in the above !)
