I thought it was originally just a posh take on the inline resistor mod that the escort and astra boys were fooled with as a plug and play performance mod for silly amounts of money, but i think it goes further than that.. just?

OMG - how much :smt120

It doesn't provide a new map - just gives a false intake temp to change the points on the current map.
Advert uses a load of BS technobabble - some parts are correct but used without relevance.

Why shell out for that POS when you can buy a very good Gabro chip for about half the price?

And is very poorly written/translated. How much faith would you have in an outfit which can't be bothered to proof-read its own copy?

So it is a posh resistor mod then!
Dyno-BOOST performance chip tricks the ECU thinking the intake air much more cooler

:smt005

I was searching 'Aprilia Chip' on ebay and that came up.. I suppose someone will buy one but like you say, why, when gabro etc do the business properly for half the price..

Some one on rsvr.net is selling performance chips for the gen 1 and its not a gabro... People seem quite impressed and they are cheaper than a gabro tim...

I've got a renegade chip (admittedly still need to set the trim pots up)
I merely scour ebay to see what's about rather than to buy. :smt001

Those chips from Ed have been on ebay for a while

Snake oil

Unless you can get a renegade or similar - and can set it up correctly then getting a gabro that goes with your own selection of mods is, IMHO the way to go

Well ill update the chip test post a bit later buy am switching to the Forza Aprilia today from the dr Rossi and then gabro after that. I can really see the advantage in the chips but also that if you can get in touch with the people you have more chance of getting a more exact setup
