Just got the letter thru. Apparently they need anuvver 300k due to finding corrosion hidden away in the depths of the airframe somewhere.

See! If they bought a new one, they'd have been much better off and wouldve got a warranty with it. They'd have probably got 12 months interest free credit too. :smt002

go talking to my folks again about Vulcans, and they said something that inrigued me.

Apparently at Woodford, while the Vulcans were being developed/built there were 4 smaller prototypes, painted in different colours - red, blue, silver and yellow they think. Anyone else know anything about these?

Didya know that the vulcan was used as a development testbed for Concordes engines?

I must get my father to write some of that stuff down - he reckoned he could tell which test pilot was flying, just by the way they would take off....
