Congratulations on the IAM pass FalcoJack as they say nothing ventured nothing gained :smt002
Surprised you are happy with the falco shock but maybe your new found skills will put more strain on it :smt003
I fitted a mille shock and am very happy with the improvement but you could buy one of the many unused falco shocks on ebay etc at a budget price or fit a Hagon shock its about the same if a little better in damping.

I have used an EMC on a 1200 Bandit in the past and I can thoroughly recommend the quality of this shock.

This site may help you http://www.bikerevival.com/page1.html

They'll pretty much all fit, but you need to have the corresponding linkages to make them work properly.

Up to 2000? (confirmation required) you can use the Falco linkages, thats with the white sprung sachs jobbie with the stickie outie schrader valve thet needs a trim.

Beyond that you'll need the corresponding linkages.

I recall that some have used later shocks (up to 2003?) with std Falco linkages to good effect. Might be worth a punt, if it's good for you then fine, but if not finding the linkages is like finding rockinghorse shit and it might be difficult to shift the shock without the linkage.

Over on the AF1 site a helpfull chapie posted a table of the interchangeable shocks. If I can find it next time over I'll post a link, not sure of it's veracity tho'.

Great use of the word "veracity" you could probably count on 1 hand the amount of times that has surfaced on a motorbike forum, well done that man! :smt041

something tells me that you really must stick out as a bloody pom when having a few tinnies.... :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Now I understand the bruises on your picture, they are from your English teacher thrashing intellectual words into your head. (had to look that one up, blame state sckolls on that)

No sorry that is a subtly changed new picture, this one shows the bruises from the arse kicking he got from the new Ozzie workmates, who couldn't understand all the big words he was using. :smt003

Been there done that :smt088

The Ozzies are pretty well educated, the real difficulty they have with me is when I slip into Scottishspeak after a few beers. :smt014
