If you can make it round to my gaff we could whip mine off and try it. Weekends would be favourite, weekdays would need to be later after kids are in bed.

Reckon the early onles are all the same, but not sure about the newer ones, unlikely to be different I would have thought.

Im fairly sure that either the 125 or 250, (maybe both?), RS's and the same year Tuonos n RSVs all use the same sensor as the Falco.

Yeah right!

You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time ...... and there are a lot of people out there that know a lot more than me about these Aprilias (I must be pretty good at bullshitting though if FM thinks I may know!)

Anyway ..... I have heard that the Falco, Mille, Tuono and RS250 of the same era use the same part .... but I don't know whether it's 100% correct and I don't know whether the sensors off the newer bikes or RS125 are the same.

I also remember a thread (but can't remember whether it was on here or the AF1 forum) where someone was saying the mounting of the speed sensor was differently positioned on (I think) a Mille part that they'd obtained compared to the Falco ..... but I can't remember whether it really was different or whether someone was looking at it wrong.

OK - so I've just had a thought and looked at the Aprilia Yorkshire Parts website:
Speed sensor Part No 8124528 is quoted for:
Falco: all years
RSV: 98 onwards (including 2006)
Tuono: right up to and including 2006

(N.B.The site only lists parts up to 2006 model)

The RS 250 uses part 8124202 .... mind you, that doesn't prove it's different (look at mille/Tuono sprocket covers for example - although maybe they are slightly different colours or something - I don't know). Anyway, I'd probably not take the chance given all the others above have the same part no.
The RS125 seems to use a mechanical cable drive.
(Note: I didn't check all model years of the RS250 and RS125)

Hope this helps.
