Worn gear change links

Those little ball and socket things are pretty knackered on my Falco's gear change. I can't imagine that they are a special part though... does anybody know where I could get them.

I bought a gear lever and linkage on Fleabay via an eBay shop, (salvage place), it was cheap and in excellent nick, very pleased with it.

Yeah - there's one on at the moment for £25 - which probably isn't much better than mine as it's the same age. I figured someone must sell the bits that are worn.

Looking at a parts diagram from a shop I've never heard of it looks like they're about £20 the pair.

Have a google for rose joints and see if you can see any cheaper ones with the correct ends/thread or pop into your local bearing place with yours.

Thanks Dave - just what the doctor ordered.

Yes - the bush is well and truly whacked as well - so as suggested - a trip to the local bearing supplier might be in order.

Cheers!

Certainly were for my father in law - just seen him in hospital having had his hip ball-and-socket joint replaced !

..... been a bumper hospital day today - visiting both my dad and my father in law - fortunately both in the same hospital
