#1 Post by roosterNI » Sun Jan 13, 2013 7:08 pm

ok im trying to sell my 07 tuono yokes that i had been using on the falco. theres a guy on at me about buying for his later model rsvr with ohlins, i know there a difference in offsets of yokes on different models but dont know if these will do his job. so will 07 tuono yokes from showa forks fit rsvr with ohlins just top yoke. cheers in advance, i know someone on here will know!!!!

From memory, Ohlins fork legs are 52mm o/d (might even be 51mm), compared to the 53mm of the Showas. It can still be done, but not quite a straight swap.

Are these the fancy ones with more hole than yoke on the top yoke? I've always liked them but they seem rather rare.

no there solid, think the ones your talking about are the rsv ones, and they are tasty looking, the ohlins im told are 51 mm dia, which is what the yokes are but just worried about the offset.

Ohlins forks are of different diameter to the marzocchi/showa forks.
Gen 1 and Gen 2 Ohlins diameters are 51mm at the top yoke and 56mm at the bottom yoke

Gen 1 Marzocchi/showa forks are 53mm diameter top and bottom. I am pretty sure the gen2 ones are as well but I'm not certain.

Gen 1 Ohlins yokes and Gen 2 Ohlins yokes have approx 1.5mm difference in offset. (I guess this is probably also the case for the yokes for the showa forks).

Rules. If you have Ohlins forks you can use Gen1 or Gen2 yokes designed for Ohlins forks but use top and bottom yokes as a pair from the same generation.

Probably similar for showa but I have never played with showas from a Gen2 so I can't confirm
