Tyre Fitting & Workshop Facilities - Coventry Area

#1 Post by D-Rider » Fri Oct 21, 2011 1:05 pm

A number of forum members have had tyres fitted by James (Burgerbiter).
He does a great service fitting tyres you have bought yourself or can obtain them for you and fit them.

James now has a new venture:

He still fits bike tyres (he fitted a pair for me a couple of evenings ago) but also has workshop facilities that people can use to service or repair their own bikes (and cars).
The large workshop has ramps and benches to rent and you can also rent tools too.

James is a nice chap - I'm sure others from the forum who have met him will agree.
Incidentally, he does know his way round Rotax Aprilias having raced a Mille-R in the past.
It will be good to see this venture succeed.

Here is a link to his website (which is a bit basic but will get better): http://www.rampandwrench.co.uk/main/

This is what James had to say when he announced it on the Coventry Bikers Forum:
As of the 18th of October I'm opening a specialist workshop for bikes & cars, where ramps & tools are available for use to the general public. Its warm, dry, and teas & coffees are also on tap (for a small donation!). Prices start at £10 per hour for ramp usage, and there will be discounts dependant on the amount of time needed. You can choose to bring your own tools, or use a standard set we have, plus rent any specialist equipment from my tool set.

I also sell a plethora of Rock oil products on-site, and an expert hand will also be there should you need any help.

If you need any other parts, such as oil filters, batteries, and such, we can get those for you too, in advance of your arrival. We also have a dedicated tyre bay for bikes too, something I've been doing for a while now.

We'll be based in the Midlands, at 190 Fletchamstead Highway, Coventry, CV4 7BB - Its dead easy to find.

This place now only does bike MOT's. No spares. No service. No self-spanner facility.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
