hi one of my dash bulbs are out the one on the right speedo on the right , i used to give it a wee scottish thump and it came back on for a few weeks , but now i think its all thumped out
only noticed this now the darker nites are comming in ,
might be a loose connection but would like to have a spare at hand after i strip it just in case to replace,
what kind of bulb is it and where do i get it ,
now heres the test

just to make it more interesting
no one with over 1000 posts are alowed to reply , its a newbi test

It's obvious that the wee Scottish thump is the incorrect fix for intermittently failing bulb.
What you really need is a BIG Scottish thump.
Hth.

Also try thumping it from underneath.
To be certain, disassemble - then thump.

Obviously it would be best left to someone who knows about these things to rectify this problem once and for all.
So send it to me and I'll get the big hammer out of its hidey hole.
And I won't charge extra for glueing the bits back together.

I've been thinking about this and have come up with an action plan.
1. Drink beer
2. Remove clocks
3. Burn them
4. Drink lots of beer
5. Have a cry
6. Look on fleabay
7. Have more beer
8. Bid on overpriced tat
9. Fit shitty clocks that you paid more for than you did for the bike originally which have condensation and lighting issues
10. Drink beer to console yourself.
Hows that sound?

Maplins. Always good for odd bulbs and widgets.
If you want to do a bit of blinging whilst you have the clocks apart... see the following thread..

T5 bulbs are what you are looking for IIRC I replaced all mine with LEDs you should be able to get them way cheaper than the price you were quoted
