Stiff filler cap lock

The lock on the Fut's filler cap is getting a little stiff.
Anything better/longer-lasting than WD40?

Old engine oil? Free it up with WD40 penetrating oil then put some old black used engine oil down the lock to coat it in a less dispersant way a while later?

Ye can get lock oil in a spray can too.. But 3-in-1 is just as good

I have 3in1 in a can and I have 3in1 in a spray .... with added teflon ....

The pigeon crap is probably the best suggestion, the rest will collect grit.
Lock lubricants should be graphite based.

..thats why i said old black engine oil.. plenty of carbon in it..
