Nooj hope you're out there man? Putting the RSV mirrors on there wasn't much space to do the hex shaped nut up so may need a thinner headed allen key bolt (something similar to the seat bolt i guess), the only place i know to get bolts from is B&Q which isn't ideal so does anyone have an website where to get a variety of bolts from...not looking for industrial size packs just pick and choose certain bike specific ones

Also looking for something similar to the 'side fairing' bolts but a thicker thread (8mm) to use on the new hanger i've bought, i'm doing away with the rear stock ones and the for some R&G Millie ones and can't use the existing bolt

Sounds like you ought to develop a closer relationship with your local garage/workshop/test station.

If I want a few nuts / bolts I usually use ebay - loads of sellers on there

I'd have a look at my yellow pages for "nuts & bolts" suppliers. There are loads of companies up & down the country selling this kind of stuff. If they have a trade counter (most do) your in business

I replaced about 90% of all the fasteners on my GS for about £13 last year, I just took the old ones down, told em I wanted replacements in stainless and voila!

Not everyting is readily available though, fine pitch thread (for caliper bolts) is harder to get hold of and remember some stainless bolts can be softer than the standard ones so make sure you have the right strength for areas of high stress like disc retaining bolts, but in the main you should find them easily enough and pretty cheap

If your up here I use B&D bolts in Batley (opposite Tesco's) not the largest outfit but very heplful and cheap!there also another bloke around the corner who will make fine pitch caliper bolts to order in stainless

We've got a place in Coventry who supply fasteners for the automotive and industrial worlds. Bloody good too.. Only threads I can't seem to find at reasonable prices are CEI.. But they're pretty specialist. They supply to trade, but I used to visit there before I was trade. Best to nip in if you can.. If it's only a hand full you want they'll probably just give them to you. I buy £20 boxes at a time, and ye get a hooge amount for yer money.

If you tell me what sizes and quantites you need I'll be happy to give you a quote. I do cheaper stuff than ProBolt as well, still stainless, it just doesn't look as nice.

High stress areas must be A4 (316) grade stainless, anything else can be A2 grade which is cheaper, but softer and slightly less corrosion resistant.

TBH I'm only talking two bolts for the hangers and four for the RSV mirrors!!
