Anyone got one I could borrow for a few days while I fit my Mille shock and linkage to Bess?
I'm in Cheshire and could collect and return.
Or does anyone have an alternative of raising the rear end so this job can be done?

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

My method involved a weights bar (chest press), ground the collars down so it would go through the frame, supported on step ladders and axle stands. Could have ended in
Better method (which would remove the need for the steps) was basically same, but putting a bar through the swing-arm pivot so would sit on axle stands without having to put the stands on bricks or scaffold boards. Personally, I would keep looking for an Abba. And if there is a kind enough soul out there, wouldn't mind doing the same as I'd now like to increase the ride-height on the shock, which I think needs the load taking off of the back end.
Any method that lifts the back without making the bike unstable or being supported by the swingarm in some way works fine, engine hoist lifting the back end, supported from above, just depends what you've got available.
