Hello all, I see Hein Gericke is doing a puncture repair kit for £9.99, down from £19.99.
My question is has anyone used this type of kit? Can it be relied upon to fix your tyre so you can carry on with that ride over the Stelvio pass? Or is it just a stop gap til you get it properly repaired?
cheers,
FK

Ok, answered my own question. Looking up fleabay to compare prices and found this
"Repaired tyres must be checked and professionally repaired or replaced within 250 miles, and have speed limitation of max 60kmh."
still appreciate opinions though.
Oh and HG is the cheapest around

I carry a similar, diff brand, and have never used it myself but others have at different times, mostly the cartridges to reinflate after a slow puncture to get to a repair shop.
I think I would trust it beyond the disclaimer limits if necessary depending on the particular puncture.

Yes I've used one.
Often the thing that made the hole is still there to show you where to fix it .... but when it isn't ....
I was fine once I found out where the hole was in the tyre ..... that was in daylight with the advantage of a pump and some soapy water to find the leak.
Don't know what I'd do stuck at the roadside in the dark though.

Ultra seal for me on the tourer, RAC membership for the others.
